About Maci's Ride
For 12 years, our community has come together to support families affected by autism. This is our story.
Who is Maci?
Maci's Ride began in 2015 as the result of a collaboration between two local businessmen, Bill Seabright and Tom Gorney. Tom's granddaughter, Maci, had just been diagnosed as being on the spectrum.
The inaugural ride was held in October 2015 with 28 bikes, raising $750 for the Autism Society of Tidewater. Since then, the ride has grown each year — with 2021 and 2022 raising $20,000 each, 2023 and 2024 raising $18,000, and 2025 raising $15,000, bringing the total donated to more than $127,000.

Maci's Ride Inc. is a Virginia Beach based 501(c)(3) charity whose goal is to raise funds for the local autism community as well as to increase awareness. Approximately 1% of the world's population has autism spectrum disorder — over 75 million people.
